There is a well known group of young men working together to break into cars on top of the mountain by the Talaia d'Albercutx. Google review has tons of posts about them and their methodes. The police knows for sure, but does nothing.
It can be cooler and windier at the summit than down by the sea.
Aim for 30-60 minutes before sunset to find parking and a good viewing spot.

"Incredible views, was cloudy when we arrived but the clouds cleared quickly. Going up the watch tower was a bit rickety and scary, but worth it for the panoramic views. Maybe bring a jacket as colder than down by the sea."

"Well worth the terrifying drive up! The views are incredible from this scenic point and you can even climb up the tower to get an ever higher view of all of port de pollensa, pollensa and alcúdia and the open water! Parking is limited and there is a fair amount of walking up with slightly slippery rocks so would recommend trainers (we came in birkenstocks and were sliding up some of the more inclined steps). Well worth the sunset views from here!"
