What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Mercado Municipal Teruel for its vibrant Thursday market, offering a fantastic array of affordable goods from fresh produce to clothing. The market is a highlight for bargain hunters and those seeking local flavors, though some note the city itself could benefit from more diverse shopping options.
"Every Thursday there is an outdoor market near the supermarket Lidl, in Teruel.
At the market you will find clothing, hosiery, underwear, shoes, fruits and vegetables, roast chicken, plants, wool and sewing items, bedding, and kitchen accessories – at cheaper-than-normal prices (in theory). It comes to Teruel every Thursday between 9am - 2pm, and is always in the same place.
In my opinion, the cheapest items are hidden on the little backstreet next to Lidl. It is in that street that you will find a bunch of tables with an assortment of clothing. You can generally buy anything on the table for €2-€7. So if you need a cheap sweater or t-shirt, that is a great place to go."

"Beautiful city, very welcoming, clean, and with very friendly people. The old town is highly recommended. I don't give it 5 stars because it lacks shops for a capital city."
ALEJANDRO GARRI
"We visit Teruel a couple of times a year and we try to make it a Thursday so we can visit the market. We mainly love the fruit and vegetable and pickle stands (so good!!!).
Highly recommended to take a walk through it."
