Reviews Summary

Casa Ferrán Modernist is widely praised as a spectacular and well-preserved example of modernist architecture, with visitors captivated by its intricate facade details and unique oculus entrance. However, some reviewers express disappointment with the general state of upkeep in Teruel, hoping for better preservation of its heritage.

"We were surprised by the number of modernist buildings in Teruel, and everything that goes on around them. This house is impressive. Spectacular; you can stand admiring it for quite some time and always discover some detail you had missed. Now, I must say that many of these magnificent buildings are not maintained as they should be, and it's a real shame. In general, the city of Teruel gave me the impression of being very neglected and dirty; it's been a long time since I've seen so many streams of human urine on the streets in broad daylight. I hope people become more aware and value this heritage and take care of it, starting at street level and moving up. It's very sad to see these magnificent buildings disintegrating over time and neglect."

Estefania Blanco

"An exceptional example of modernism, with ornamentation integrated into the architecture and a combination of materials such as wrought iron, stucco, and stone, among others. The oculus that provides access to the building is worth seeing. Designed by the prestigious architect Pablo Monguió, it was built in 1910 and represents the splendor and bourgeois taste that the city achieved at the beginning of the 20th century. It's worth stopping in front of its façade to admire the majesty of this modernist work, despite the narrowness of the street."

Alberto Polo

"Look up when you pass by! It's worth it!"
