Reviews Summary

Mercado de Tapinería is praised for its dynamic, ever-changing selection of pop-up shops and its vibrant atmosphere in a historic setting. Visitors appreciate the unique finds, local crafts, and the surrounding culinary options. However, some have experienced issues with food allergy communication and inconsistent opening hours, suggesting a need for careful planning.

"This is more of an events space rather than a market. It is well located in the Old Town and surrounded by bars, but one should not expect anything that resembles a market. The information on the website is not always accurate when it comes to opening hours. I have been to event that was informed to be open all day, but it closed for siesta…"

Luciana Russo Vichino

"While the location is really nice this place is now on the absolute no go list. Asked them three times (twice before ordering, once before taking a bite; en castellano and in English) about the ingredients in the guacamole because of a severe allergy. The reassured me that all was well. Well, it is not. Lips became numb after 15 minutes and the suffering commenced shortly after (still ongoing). Being in pain for the remainder of my stay in Valencia could have been avoided had the staff been truthful and conscientious. Hardly think that is too much to ask.
If you have any food related issues do not trust them to have your back. In the end, a tourist trap where they truly do not care about their customers."

Raffaella Pergola

"After a good breakfast at Bar&Kitchen, we walk around the lovely stores at Mercat de Tapineria. There’s always something new to discover."
