Visitors are captivated by the impressive preservation and historical significance of the Valencia de Alcántara Dolmens, often finding themselves alone to fully appreciate the ancient structures. The surrounding landscapes are also a major draw. However, the challenging access road, with its uneven terrain and narrow passages, is a recurring point of concern for those arriving by car.
"The road to this site is a single lane dirt road that is quite uneven. Drive slowly and it's navigatable. Nonetheless, there was a great parking spot at the location. Even though we visited on a Sunday in mid July 2023, there was no one else there.
The Dolmen is in excellent condition and is a must see forbthose interested in neolithic history.
Nearby (ABOUT 1.1 km) are two more Dolmens (DOLMEN Data I & II) and in the other direction Dolmens Cajiron I & II."

"Was a really nice hike! We only did a few hours. The Dolmens are really cool but my only complaint is that you hike along roads which removes some its charm. Some hiking trails/paths would be a lot nicer!"
Thomas Braukmann
"We went on a Sunday morning, and there was no one there. You get there via the road indicated on Google Maps. There are some potholes and narrow areas, but it's no problem. We parked a few meters from the dolmen next to a fence; there was a beautiful white horse. There are two other dolmens not far away. I recommend it!"
