"Nestling the Kandyan city from one side and towering over University of Peradeniya, Hanthana is a popular choice among nature lovers and fun seekers. To have the real experience and adventure, a hike along Katusu Kanda and trailing ridges is recommended. Loolkondura, which is the cradle of Tea planting is nearby and a part of this majestic range. The climb is not difficult but to be cautious on precipices meet along the hike. The place has 360 degrees of vistas of central Highlands expanding beneath and around you. If you are lucky, you may be rewarded with seeing the elusive and shy Leopards habitating within the lush green forests and savannah type mountain grass patches."
