At the summit, the panoramic view of the central province is simply breathtaking, especially on a clear day. The area is a high-security zone managed by the Sri Lankan military, which makes it feel very safe and clean.
Be prepared for a short 20-minute walk from the parking area to the summit viewpoint. There's a small canteen run by the army at the top where you can get a hot cup of tea. Remember not to stop your vehicle on the road for photos, as there are signs of wildlife, including leopards. The mountain is open to the public until 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM."
