"A convenient ferry destination, just enough facilities without being overdeveloped. Car-free except small vehicles for inhabitants. Beyond the village, walking routes lead to fine viewpoints."

"Gorgeous, just a gorgeous place. We were lucky to have amazing weather with blue skies as a backdrop for the colourful houses and beautiful coastline. Be sure to visit the cafe near the Strysö Bratten ferry stop for a kafe, where I fell in love with the owner's 3 month old nibbly Pomeranian, Diva. (I've been overseas for a month and miss my dog at home!) We walked for over 3.5 hours at a leisurely pace, seeing the coastline and the endless views from Stor Ros. We visited Brännö afterwards and didn't like it near as much as Strysö. Catch the ferry to and from Saltholmen for an amazing half-day or day out."

Kate Gifford

"Beautiful island, peaceful thanks to there being no cars on the island. The highest mountain here is just a 20 minute walk from all the ports."
