Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Natural History Museum Fribourg for its impressive variety of animal exhibits, including a striking life-size whale skeleton, and its engaging interactive displays. The free admission and family-friendly activities are frequently highlighted as major positives. Some visitors note that information panels are primarily in French and German, with English speakers potentially benefiting more from the available app.

"The site is very interesting, with an incredible variety of non-living animals. You can see the skeletons of some of the animals, listen to the sounds made by the birds and see a giant whale which is very impressive.
And there are lots of activities for children, all free of charge. :)"

Carina Pissarra

"Free museum located within the university grounds. The museum is on the first floor of the building, and has a fairly large range of exhibits, with a few of them alive. There are about 12 rooms in total, each with its own theme. Within each exhibit there are information panels in both French and German (but unfortunately no English), and some exhibits are also interactive. There is a small (temporary?) exhibition on the second floor as well. Overall a nice place if you’re in the area, but do note that it’s about a 20 minute walk from the station."
