What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular views from the Trift Bridge, highlighting the stunning glacial lake and surrounding Alps. The engineering of the bridge itself is also a major draw. However, some note the significant impact of climate change on the receding glacier, and the hike can be challenging for those not accustomed to inclines.
"A place of strength. Personally, for me, the main thing is the view of the lake and the glacier, not the bridge.
For hiking enthusiasts, I recommend going up without a lift, there are two ways up, T2 and T3"
Kostiantyn Sebriuk
"The hike from the parking area to the bridge takes around 3 hours.
Some reviews mention 1.5 hours, but those are likely from experienced hikers. If you’re not used to hiking, I highly recommend taking the cable train.
The bridge itself is absolutely amazing!"
Leonardo Lazzaro
"Amazing view of valley all the way from the cable car to the bridge. And spectacular view of the bridge and lake, and what left from glacier. Sadly, but glacier almost gone.
Directions says you need 1h30min to get to the bridge. For me it took ~55 minutes to reach the bridge. But I was taking a lot of pictures on the way there.
The trail is about 3km long, but you need to climb ~350m up. So it depends on your fitness how long it takes."
