"Schloss Spiez might have been my favorite castle we visited in Switzerland. The views from inside the castle tower looking out over the church and mountains and lake are absolutely magical! We were there on a bright sunny day with the sparkling blue water full of sailboats and parasails. It was so beautiful you had to pinch yourself to make sure you weren’t dreaming. I would not miss seeing this castle. It’s a little off the beaten path, and those are the places I love the most. It’s full of history and intrigue. You can even try on period clothing and knight’s armor, and try out a bed the servants would have used. We did not get to tour the church, as there was a wedding in progress. Which was also incredible to watch the guests in their finery walking from the castle to the church."
