Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Abbey Library of Saint Gall for its breathtaking Baroque beauty and historical significance, calling it one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. While some find the ticket price a bit steep for the size of the room, many agree it's worth the visit for the unique experience and the ancient manuscripts. The requirement to wear slippers is a memorable part of the visit.
"Located at 1st floor, there is the storage room for bag deposit during visit. Need to use the big slipper before entry. Very nice and elegant library inside. Not large room. Entry fee is 18 CHF each for adult (a bit pricey) but if you have the St. Gallen tourist pass (1-day = 24 CHF), it’s more cheaper that you can enter other museums or attractions."

"Just one room but totally worth the visit. Oldest library of Switzerland with lots of old books. You cannot touch the books as bookshelves are locked. There is also a real mummy with coffin on display. The interiors are stunning and you have to wear huge sandals over your shoes provided by them to protect the wooden floor of library. There are free lockers for luggage storage and entry here is free with Swiss Travel Pass."

"Very beautiful Kloster. Enough parking space close by. Doesn’t cost anything. Very mesmerising to see."
