Visitors consistently praise the Swiss National Museum for its vast and diverse collections, offering a deep dive into Swiss history and culture. The interactive elements and well-curated exhibits are frequently highlighted as engaging for all ages. Its convenient location and affordability, especially with the Zurich Card, make it a top recommendation for exploring Zurich.

"Very big museum with a lot of stuff to see! From paintings to history they have a bunch of things. My brother, who is a museum enthusiast, loved it! The tickets are very affordable and the price is worth it for this museum. It's located by the main train station of Zürich which makes it very easy to get there."

Luca

"What a fantastic museum that deserves a few hours, although you could easily spend most of a day here! It’s quite large, but divided into sections allowing you to pick and choose if you’re limited on time.

There’s a detailed section on the history of Switzerland, but the archaeology section is a huge WOW! There are tech screens you can slide across cases to get more info on specific items. The collection is outstanding and well curated. There’s even an interactive room where the adults were having more fun than the kids! 🤣

There are also a series of preserved rooms with gorgeous woodwork from the late 1500s/early 1600s, special exhibits, a techno section, and more. It’s a very interesting place and a real compliment to the curators that most of the younger people there seemed very engaged with the exhibits.

Certainly a good rainy day plan, but you will not regret taking time for this museum any day of your trip."

Martha Canipe

"Versatile and extremely informative, was no thing like expected of a traditional museum , in felt like a cultural celebration of past meets slick modernity,, really really impressed. Definitely glad to spend 5 hours in there."
