The charming courtyard cafe is also a frequently mentioned highlight, offering a peaceful respite. Some visitors note that it can be a bit hidden, requiring a keen eye to find.

"The Cafer Aga Madrasa is historical building with a lot of rooms & middle open space, they do art, drawings & handcrafts activities here. There is a cafe, outdoor seating area & bathroom."

Abdulrahman Almunayes

"Calmest and coziest restaurant in the old town of Istanbul! We were so lucky to stumble upon this quiet oasis after the whole day of hectic sight-seeing 😮‍💨 The homey food is delicious and the portions as reasonable as their prices. We were positively surprised how the sellers were not pushy at all! Just hanging out with the guests and chatting casually 😌 We browsed a bit through the ateliers and purchased a small piece of art. If we visit Istanbul again one day, I would love to come back and participate in one of their day art courses (for example in marbling)! 🤩"

Adrianna Kapp-Schwoerer

"Amazing place to stop by, both for the history and for the great atmosphere and people."
