What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dongmen Market is a beloved spot for its incredible food variety and affordable prices, offering a true taste of local life. While some find the market a bit grungy and wish for better cleanliness, most visitors appreciate the bustling atmosphere and the opportunity to discover unique items and delicious snacks. It's a must-visit for anyone wanting an authentic market experience.
"A popular market for everyone! Fresh veggies, fruits and meats! Lots of good food to select from. Must visit when I come to Taipei! One of my favorite things to do is finding useful household items and waiting in line to get the Chinese burritos! The only thing I would like to see in the future is that the city will update the indoor/outdoor street area and make it a lot more cleaner. I felt bad for the residents who live above the markets! If Taipei city residents want Taipei to be listed on “one of the most beautiful city in the world”, the basic cleanness of food markets is an essential thing to be considered before Taipei becomes a beautiful city."

"Grungy marketplace which makes for interesting photographs. Most stalls were closed when I passed through, but the fresh produce vendors were operating."

"All that you can want, and more! Just make sure to come earlier as they start running out or closing shop around noon. Some vendors change daily."
