What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unique experience of climbing the 'sticky' limestone rocks of Bua Tong Waterfall, praising its natural grip and refreshing waters. Many highlight the beauty of the multi-tiered cascades and the fun of exploring the pools. While generally safe, some caution is advised on slippery sections, and arriving early is recommended to avoid crowds.
"There was no entrance fee, and it opens at 8 am.
Come at opening time to avoid the crowds. We came around 8 am, and the parking lot was still empty.
We were literally the first visitors there, and really enjoyed the place.
To reach the waterfalls, you will have to walk down quite a lot of wooden stairs. There's 5 levels of waterfalls, and the bottom one was off limit when we visited. If you don't want to climb the waterfalls, you will need to take the stairs back up.
The waterfalls were easy and safe to climb as long as you're careful. The stones are made from limestones, so they will have a good grip. We saw the stones were being brushed and cleaned by the staff.
Some stones are still slippery because of dirt/sand.
This place is actually beautiful even if you don't want to get wet, and well maintained. Worth the time to visit, spare at least 1-2 hours here.
Also you can visit Wat Ban Den and Dantewada along with this waterfalls since they're close to each other."

"A unique waterfall, there are proper steps to go down and there are 4 separate places based on distance you can start from anywhere. There were ropes in most of the places to support the whole climbing. We started from 3rd and climbed up in 10 min.
A couple of places were a little hard, but you can get through with the help of rope. The rest of the climbing was enjoyable, my 7.5 Yr old kid climbed through with very little assistance."

"No entry fee or ticket required but will need to register name and vehicle at the entrance. Very popular tourist spot so come on a less crowded day. The waterfall slopes can be steep and slippery , but getting up with the ropes and sidestepping the algae area may help."
