What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World is a well-regarded attraction, praised for its diverse marine life and engaging exhibits like the Shark Walk. While some find it a bit small for the standard foreigner price, many agree it's a worthwhile experience, especially for families and those who can access resident discounts. The convenient location in Siam Paragon adds to its appeal.
"I visited SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World last weekend, and I honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed. Tucked away beneath the luxurious Siam Paragon mall, the entrance felt like stepping into another world — cool, dimly lit, and full of mystery. I’ve been to a few aquariums before, but this one stands out for how immersive and well-organized it is.
The Ocean Tunnel was absolutely magical — walking through a curved glass tunnel while giant rays, sharks, and shimmering schools of fish glide overhead felt like something out of a dream. I literally stopped mid-step to just take it all in.
One of the highlights for me was the Penguin Ice Playground. It’s set up with artificial snow and a chilled environment to match their natural habitat, and the penguins were so playful and curious! There’s also a Jellyfish Zone with glowing tanks that looked like underwater lava lamps — super soothing to watch.
I also tried the Glass Bottom Boat ride, which felt like floating above a live coral reef. For just a bit extra, it was 100% worth it. Kids around me were in awe, and honestly, so was I.
The staff were helpful and friendly throughout, and it never felt overcrowded despite being a weekend.
If you're in Bangkok and looking for a break from the heat and chaos, this place is a cool, calm, underwater escape. Perfect for families, dates, or even solo explorers like me!"

"Ok so if I am honest I liked a lot of the enclosures a few maybe a little small for the fish. The massive shark tank was impressive and well worth a going, all the sharks and other fish looked happy including the turtles. I think I would have given more stars it the Gentoo penguin enclosure didn’t look so small including the inside but you can’t see only on a tv but the water area looked tiny. Maybe a bigger enclosure might be a lot better and maybe a lot more than plastic flooring. That lost 2 stars I feel they need a better enclosure it’s 2025 if you can get the space don’t have them."

"After spending a fun-filled day at Safari World the day before, we decided to take it a little slower on 27th September and planned our visit to Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World. It’s conveniently located right in the heart of the city, inside the Siam Paragon Mall, which made it super easy to combine with a bit of shopping and a relaxed lunch.
Getting There: Smooth and Simple
its situated at Siam Paragon Mall. Take the escalator down to the B1 (basement) level, Sea Life Bangkok welcomes you with a giant glass tunnel and underwater vibes even before you step in.
We had pre-booked our tickets through Klook with combo of Madam Tussade Wax Museum.
First Impressions: Like Entering a Magical Underwater World
The moment you enter, you’re transported to a different world. The lights are dimmed, there’s calming oceanic music playing, and all around you are glowing tanks filled with exotic sea life. My boys’ eyes widened with every step.
As a dad, I instantly knew this was going to be a good day — air-conditioned, clean, and packed with “Whoa!” moments.
What We Saw (and Loved)
1. Penguin Ice Playground
We didn’t expect this! Right at the start, we saw adorable Gentoo penguins waddling around in a chilly enclosure that mimicked Antarctica. They swam, dived, and came up to the glass, which had my kids giggling in delight.
My 6-year-old actually waved at a penguin and said, “Papa, he waved back!”
2. Rocky Hideout & Deep Reef
Here we saw giant octopuses, lobsters, lionfish, and some brilliantly colourful coral reef setups. It was educational and beautiful — the kids loved guessing fish names and watching eels poke in and out of the rocks.
3. Tropical Ocean Tunnel – The Showstopper
This was the highlight of the visit. We walked through a massive 360-degree tunnel with sharks, stingrays, groupers, and countless other fish swimming all around and above us.
It was the first time my boys saw a shark up close — the thrill on their faces was priceless.
You can even stand in the middle of a glass dome section and feel like you're inside the tank. Great photo ops here!
4. Shark Walk
A glass floor walkway suspended above a tank full of blacktip reef sharks. My 10-year-old was scared at first, then loved it. It’s safe, but gives you that thrilling sensation of walking “on” water over sharks.
5. Interactive Zones for Kids
There were touch pools where the kids could gently touch starfish and sea cucumbers, and interactive digital games where they could create their own virtual sea creatures.
Souvenirs and Snack Break
As expected, we exited through a gift shop (very strategic!), Prices were on the higher side,
Why It Worked So Well for Our Family
1. Fully indoor and air-conditioned
2. Perfect pace for kids
3.Clean, stroller and wheelchair accessible
4.Educational without being boring
5. Convenient location inside a mall
Dad Tips for Other Indian Families:
Go early (around 10–11 AM) to avoid school tour groups and crowds.
Buy tickets online (Sea Life website or Klook) — often cheaper and faster.
Don’t skip the tunnel or shark walk — these are the “wow” spots.
Let kids explore at their pace — there’s no rush.
Final Thoughts: Sea Life Bangkok – A Calm Yet Fascinating Day Out
After the high-energy, outdoor adventure of Safari World, Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World was the perfect contrast — cool, calm, and packed with wonder. My boys were fascinated from start to finish, and even my wife and I enjoyed every moment.
Rating: 9/10
A must-do for families visiting Bangkok. Great for kids aged 3–12, and equally enjoyable for adults. Bonus points for being inside one of Bangkok’s best malls!
If you’re visiting Bangkok with your family, don’t miss this one. It might not have rollercoasters, but the wide-eyed wonder on your child’s face when a shark swims overhead? That’s the memory you'll take home."
