What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Raman Waterfall Forest Park is a beautiful, less-crowded natural escape with refreshing pools and a scenic trail. While some find the waterfalls small and the upper trails challenging, families and nature lovers appreciate the serene atmosphere and the unique 'fish spa' experience. Be prepared for basic facilities and potentially variable entrance fees.
"Our family (with two small children) visited recently, and we were pleasantly surprised. There is no entrance fee for foreigners. Our kids enjoyed playing in the small pool of water near the head of the trail and first waterfall. The waterfalls — at least the first few that we made it to — are small; however, the area is beautiful and scenic. Swimming is allowed according to signage. Schools of fish swam right up to our splashing toddlers looking for a handout. My daughter was delighted! Because this park is a bit off the beaten path and a hidden gem, there does not seem to be a problem with crowding or overuse. (We were the only car in the parking lot!) The path starts out easy, but quickly moves to a decent incline with a steep drop off toward the river. For safety reasons, we had to turn back with two small children, but anyone in average (or below average) fitness should have no problem with the trail. For thrill seekers or those only wanting to go to “must see” attractions, give this a miss; however, for families with kids or those who want to skip the crowds (and fees) this is a great place to see some excellent scenery."

"4 very small waterfalls and a 200 meter walk for 100 Bath entrance fee. The path to the biggest and fifth waterfall is closed because it's to dangerous. Why not maintain the park if they ask for an entrance fee?
Not worth the money or your time to get here."

"The best waterfall I went through out Thailand. As I visited some people who stayed near there, we woke up early and went to the waterfall around 7am. The water was so clean and cooling, there was even fishes in the water(the ones that will nibble on your feet and legs to remove dead skin). The water on the 1st level is not deep thus kids can play there too! Definitely worth visiting 👍"

The Waterfalls of Raman
While the lower sections are family-friendly, the trails leading to higher waterfalls can become steep and potentially dangerous. Some reviews indicate that the path to the largest, fifth waterfall is closed for safety reasons. This means that while the park offers natural beauty, the full extent of its waterfalls might not always be accessible. Always heed any posted signs regarding trail closures for your safety.
Navigating the Trails and Safety
Travelers with average or below-average fitness should be able to manage the accessible parts of the trail. However, those seeking a strenuous hike or concerned about safety, especially with children, might find it necessary to turn back. It's crucial to wear appropriate footwear, as the paths can become slippery. Always be mindful of your surroundings and the condition of the trail, especially after rain.
A Hidden Gem Experience
This off-the-beaten-path characteristic also means that amenities are basic. You won't find extensive facilities like restaurants or shops within the park. Therefore, it's essential to come prepared with your own food, water, and any other necessities. The absence of commercialization, however, is part of its charm, offering a peaceful retreat for those who seek it.
