"Old temple surrounded by the sea, now there is a bridge to go there, but many things still in development and takes probably time to make it a real touristic attraction"

Fokke Akker

"This is a beautiful temple facing the sea. It was surprising that there's not a lot of visitors on a Sunday.

When we walked to the side facing the sea, we saw that they were doing some construction. The highlight of Wat Khun Samutrawat is the temple built in the 1800s. The outside was still preserved but the have renovated the inside. Since it's built by the sea, the temple was lower than the the current ground level. When I went inside, I was overcame by a peaceful feeling.

There is another modern temple under construction beside it. The floor was made of wood and the altar is covered in gold. There were ancient mini-Buddha statues, pottery and bone of a whale displayed. There are gazebos built facing the water. This temple should be visited by people because of its beauty and calm."

Belle

"Temple in the sea. Recently a road was completed to take you close to this temple. From the end of this road it is and about 500 meters over an elevated walkway to this temple. Quite unique as the temple is surrounded by the sea."
