Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Chiang Saen National Museum to be a small but interesting and well-curated stop, particularly for its comprehensive exhibits on tribal cultures and historical artifacts. While some note its size, many agree the 100 baht admission is well worth the insights gained, especially when combined with exploring the ancient city. Temporary art installations can also add an extra layer of appeal.

"It's only small, but an interesting little place, i hadn't realised the wall went all the way around the city, just like Chiang Mai. Over all i really LOVE Chiang Saen as a place. It seemed so organised."

With all the signs, located at so many points around Chiang Saen, it is possible to appreciate what you are seeing without visiting the museum."

Stephen Merrett

"A very comprehensive curation of tribal cultural and beliefs. The museum staff are knowledgable and happy to offer more information too. Thank you for this precious space to conserve local wisdom."
