What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mahdia Beach & Aqua Park Hotel garners mixed reviews. While many praise the friendly and helpful staff and the beautiful beachfront location, significant concerns are raised about room maintenance, cleanliness, and inconsistent service standards. Some guests found the food quality and Wi-Fi connectivity to be disappointing, leading to a less-than-ideal experience.
"This holiday was with a large group of our family members. When we checked in the service was fine, we got help and direction to our room. The room was spacious and clean too. Unfortunately when the rest of our family members checked in their experience was not as nice. The person at the reception (big guy with big belly on night shift) was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. The rooms were not clean there was hair coming out of one of the sinks, another room had the mattress all wet. When asked to change the rooms they kept delaying and saying wait. Only of the rooms was changed to which was a cleaner and at a closer location. Very disappointed at the person who was at the desk during check in. At a later date we needed to exchange some money and that same guy was at the desk. He ignored me and told me to move away from the front desk as we were waiting to be served and he didn’t want his manager watching us stand there as he served other customers (so he doesn’t look bad!). Waited there for over 20mins and still didn’t receive any service as he continued to serve other customers. As he had something against me even the hotel security guy was saying he’s not very nice to people later the bar guy helped me exchange the money. The people from restaurant was nice . Overall the experience wasn’t bad it was just the interaction with that one person that made it an horrible experience."

"Hotel Mahdia Beach & Aqua Park has a beautiful location and good facilities, but what truly makes this hotel special is the staff. Friendly, smiling, and always ready to help they create a warm atmosphere and make guests feel welcome. The owners should really value and keep such employees, because even if something in the hotel is not perfect, their kindness and attitude contribute 90% to the positive experience. Thanks to the staff, the stay in this hotel remains a wonderful memory."

"My recent stay at the Mahdia Beach & Aqua Park Hotel was a profoundly disappointing experience, unfortunately failing to live up to even basic expectations for a hotel of this calibre. I strongly advise future travelers to look elsewhere.
Room Issues (1/5 Stars):
The state of the room was unacceptable. We encountered multiple maintenance failures, including a broken, non-functional hair dryer and a light bulb hanging precariously from the ceiling. The towels provided were frequently stained, and the bathroom design was flawed, leading to bath water ending up all over the floor after every shower. A minor complaint that became significant over time was the lack of housekeeping attention: the provided shower gel ran out on the second day and was never replaced for the remainder of our stay. The in-room amenities were also lacking, with no kettle or iron provided. The air conditioning was virtually useless, essentially performing as just a fan.
All that said but one positive would be the sea view from our room. was great to look out.
Connectivity and Service (1/5 Stars):
The "free Wi-Fi" was highly frustrating, being intermittent, constantly failing to join the network, and disconnecting repeatedly. The staff service was equally poor, particularly at reception, where personnel were unwilling to listen, struggled to understand even basic requests, and resorted to ignoring or "fobbing off" guests when they couldn't grasp the issue. Generally, the staff were not friendly, with one waiter exhibiting a particularly bad attitude.
Food and Dining Experience (1/5 Stars):
The food quality was below average and highly repetitive throughout the stay. The dining area itself was unsanitary, with too many flies present all over the food. The setup of the external food huts caused a major bottleneck; there was always a long queue, meaning that by the time one gathered all their items, the food had gone cold. While staff were quick to clear empty tables, they were frustratingly slow to replace basic necessities like cutlery and glasses.
Overall:
This was not a relaxing or enjoyable holiday. The combination of serious room maintenance issues, frustratingly poor connectivity, and an overall disappointing dining experience makes this a hotel I would not recommend"
