"The historical peninsula, where tens of tours and thousands of local and foreign tourists come every day, should be visited more often."

"One of the doctors on duty there is Military Doctor Salih (Dörtbudak).
Doctor Salih works day and night to tend to the wounded, providing life-saving services.
A young wounded man is brought before Doctor Salih on a stretcher. His abdomen is torn open, his intestines spilling out, one of his legs is about to be severed, and he is unrecognizable, covered in blood and dust. They place this wounded man in front of Doctor Salih. Salih Bey comes and takes a look at the wounded man; his condition is very serious. He orders the soldiers to lift him up and put him aside. Just as he's about to turn his head, the wounded soldier makes one last effort, screaming heartbreakingly for the doctor to hear him:

"Father, father!" Salih Bey suddenly turns and looks around, unable to recognize his son. Another dagger is thrust into Doctor Salih Bey's heart, his throat constricts, and he cannot speak.
He embraces his son, kisses him, and begins to sniff him.
-My son, my son! This is my son!
However, hundreds of wounded soldiers are lined up, and even a brave man lies on the operating table, waiting for Salih Bey.
Salih Bey glances around. Soldiers are waiting for a cure, and the homeland is waiting to serve.
So, is he a father or a doctor? Salih Bey must make a decision.
-This is my son. Take my son to a shaded place.
Salih Bey returns to tending to the other soldiers awaiting treatment.
Hours later, when he finds a moment, he goes to check on his beloved son.
He sees that his son has become one of the tens of thousands of martyrs at Gallipoli.
Doctor Salih Bey did not distinguish his son from other Mehmetçik (soldiers) in Çanakkale."
