Seyyah Bir Hanım

"Çobandede Bridge is a historic bridge over the Aras River in the Köprüköy district of Erzurum. Built in the late 13th century by Emir Çoban Salduz, the Ilkhanate vizier, the bridge is one of the most important structures of its time. It is currently under protection and has undergone restoration. The inscription on the bridge has been damaged, so it is not currently in use and has undergone restoration. The identity of the builder is uncertain, as the bridge was built during the Ilkhanate period with seven arches. The bridge is prone to floods in August, when the flow of the Aras River and Hasankale Stream reaches its peak. During a flood in 1729, the bridge was damaged and repaired. In 1872, another flood destroyed one of the arches, repaired, and completely enclosed. Six arches remain today."
