"Ok!!!"

"exactly what can be associated with a "men's monastery". 4 points only for seeing parishioners in short dresses and high heels, but I myself was in shorts, although I changed into pants on the recommendation of the mother. But otherwise a soulful, blissful place, bought their milk and cottage cheese production, the water is the purest. And the ringing of the bell in general ... A wonderful church shop, a little but everything you need. In general, great, I am very glad to be there again."

"There are shrines in our region that we know little about. Their condition is often not the best, they are not financed properly and are not advertised in the modern world - they just exist. Once upon a time, the Zaporizhian Cossacks had three Orthodox shrines, three powerful whales - the Sich Pokrovskaya Church, the Kiev-Mezhyhirya Monastery and the Samara St. Nicholas Desert Monastery. The latter has survived to this day. It is hard to imagine, but the monastery dates back to 1576. And throughout its history, the monastery has steadfastly endured all sorts of trials. It was destroyed and ravaged during the Russian-Polish war.
By order of Golitsyn, the monks of the monastery were tortured for supporting the Cossacks.
More than once, the plague killed almost the entire population at the root. The Tatars burned the monastery, and swarms of locusts devastated the walls for a long time, but the monastery always found the strength to revive again - the monks again extracted honey, built mills, new cells, bred cattle and were a strong support for the Zaporozhian Cossacks. Within the walls of the monastery there were doctors and hospitals for the wounded and elderly Cossacks, many centurions, colonels and atamans met their death here. Under its walls in the dense oak forests, Ivan Sirko repeatedly defeated the next Tatar invasion. A great place... In those distant times, this area was called Paradise, New Palestine, and the river was revered as holy. The miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Samara - the Cossacks always took with them on campaigns and always returned victorious, the temple kept many relics, secrets and riches, and the Cossacks did not skimp on its maintenance and carefully guarded the Samara pearl... And so in our time the ancient monastery is gaining new life and the monks diligently and tirelessly return it to its former glory, because this is our history, our Land, our holy Ukraine."
