What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently amazed by the unparalleled views from the world's tallest building, with many highlighting the breathtaking panoramas and the thrill of ascending so high. However, some find the ticket prices steep and the queues, especially during peak sunset hours, to be quite long and disorganized.
"Visited 'At the Top' with my wife and 2 daughters. Currently a once in a lifetime experience to stand in a building of this height, so for us it was something we had to try whilst visiting Dubai.
Strangely it didn't actually feel as tall as it really is when I was up there (I've done Top of the Rock, One World Trade etc... and they 'felt' higher). However, they're not so it's obviously just me 🤣
A great experience for the whole family. We ended up staying up there much longer than expected and enjoyed the amazing views over Dubai! 100% recommend doing!"

"Visited today around 11 AM – overall a smooth experience!
The ticket counter wasn’t crowded, and everything went quickly and efficiently. The only downside was the line leading to the lifts—it was really hot, and that area definitely needs better ventilation, especially for such a popular attraction.
Once you’re at the top, it’s totally worth it! The views are stunning, and you don’t really feel the crowd. There’s a café, souvenir shops, and even a photo booth to capture the moment.
The staff were super helpful and friendly, which added to the positive experience.
Beautiful views
Friendly staff
Needs better cooling near the lifts where the line is and where we spend most of the time waiting
LG fashion parking follow the at the top sign

"Definitely one of those “you have to do it at least once” Dubai experiences — At The Top, Burj Khalifa is surreal 🌆✨
The ride up is so fast and smooth, and when the elevator doors open, you're suddenly above the skyline. The view from the 124th and 125th floors is unreal — the city looks like a model, and Sheikh Zayed Road stretches out like a silver ribbon all the way to the horizon.
Sunset is stunning (if you don’t mind the crowd) — the golden light hits the buildings just right, and when the city lights start coming on, it feels like a movie. You can see the fountains dancing from above, and even spot the desert fading into the distance.
It’s not cheap, but for the experience and those views? Worth it. Just book in advance, and try to time it well — golden hour or night views are both magical. And yes, the Instagram photos are even better in real life."

🎫 🎫 Tickets & Entry
It's highly recommended to purchase your tickets online in advance from the official 'At The Top' website (tickets.atthetop.ae) to secure your preferred time slot and avoid disappointment.
Ticket prices vary depending on the level and time of visit. General admission to Levels 124 & 125 typically ranges from AED 150-200, while tickets for Level 148 (The SKY) are significantly higher, often starting around AED 400-500.
While direct discounts are rare, booking during off-peak hours or looking for package deals that might include other attractions can offer better value. Some resident offers may also be available.
Operating hours typically start from early morning (around 8 AM) and extend late into the night. Sunset hours are the most popular and often the most expensive. Check the official website for exact daily timings.
While tickets might be available for purchase at the venue, it's strongly advised to book online in advance, especially for prime time slots, as they can sell out quickly.

The observation decks offer incredible panoramic views. For unique shots, try capturing the city lights at night, reflections in the windows, or the vastness of the desert. The open-air balcony on Level 152 provides a thrilling perspective.
Generally, personal photography is allowed. However, professional photography equipment or commercial shoots might require special permits. Check the official guidelines.
Some ticket packages, especially for higher levels, might include a complimentary digital photo. You can also purchase professional photos taken by the venue's photographers.
Sunset offers the magical 'golden hour' light, transitioning to the city's dazzling lights. Early mornings can provide clearer skies and fewer crowds for unobstructed shots.
Experiment with different angles, use the windows for reflections, and try capturing the scale of the building. Posing with the cityscape in the background is also popular.
🍽️ 🍽️ Food & Dining
While the main 'At The Top' experience focuses on the views, there are often small cafes or lounges on the observation decks where you can purchase refreshments. For a full dining experience, consider Atmosphere.
Atmosphere is a sophisticated lounge and restaurant located on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, offering fine dining and breathtaking views. It's a popular alternative for experiencing the height without the typical observation deck crowds.
Yes, Atmosphere offers various dining options, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner. Booking in advance is highly recommended, and there's usually a minimum spend requirement.
It depends on what you order. A breakfast or afternoon tea at Atmosphere might be comparable to or slightly more expensive than a standard 'At The Top' ticket, but it includes food and a more relaxed setting.
Beyond Atmosphere, the Burj Khalifa itself doesn't have extensive dining options within the observation decks. The adjacent Dubai Mall offers a vast array of international restaurants and cafes.
For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Bring snacks and drinks, as options inside the observation decks can be limited and pricey. Strollers may need to be checked or folded, so inquire about their policy. For a more relaxed family outing, the Dubai Mall adjacent to the Burj Khalifa offers numerous kid-friendly attractions and dining options.
💰 Budget Travelers
Alternatively, consider the Atmosphere lounge for a more affordable option by opting for breakfast or afternoon tea with a minimum spend, rather than a full dinner. Even if you don't go up, seeing the Burj Khalifa from the outside and exploring the Dubai Mall provides a great experience without the ticket cost.
📸 Photography Enthusiasts
Experiment with capturing the city lights at night for a dazzling perspective. The higher levels, especially Level 148, offer a more exclusive and potentially less crowded environment for photography.

Navigating the Levels: What to Expect
For a more exclusive and higher vantage point, consider the 'At The Top, SKY' experience on Level 148. This premium package includes access to the highest observation deck, a personalized welcome, and refreshments. It's a more luxurious way to see the city, often with fewer people.
Some packages also grant access to the open-air terrace on Level 152, which is part of The Burj Club. This offers a unique, wind-swept perspective and is a thrilling addition for those seeking an extra thrill.
Photography Tips for Stunning Shots
Experiment with different angles. Don't just shoot straight out; try looking down for a sense of scale or up towards the sky. For couples, creative poses against the backdrop of Dubai can make for memorable photos.
Consider the lighting conditions. Sunset is popular for a reason, offering a warm, dramatic glow. However, visiting at night provides a completely different, equally stunning view of Dubai's illuminated skyline.
The Atmosphere Alternative
While 'At The Top' is purely about the observation deck experience, Atmosphere allows you to enjoy the height with a meal or beverage. This can be a more leisurely way to take in the sights, and some find the experience more personal and less rushed than the main observation decks.
Booking a table at Atmosphere, whether for breakfast, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails, often involves a minimum spend, which can be comparable to or slightly more than a standard 'At The Top' ticket. However, many find the added value of food and a more exclusive ambiance well worth the cost.
