Yesterday I had the pleasure of working at Amesbury Abbey for a double celebration; a 90th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary. Family and friends came together and enjoyed a buffet lunch in a marquee in the grounds of the abbey. Champagne and canapés flowed before sitting down to a cold buffet lunch finishing with a beautiful homemade birthday cake. A very special day which was loved by a...

Reviews Summary

Amesbury Abbey is highly praised for its exceptional care and the genuine connection staff build with residents. The beautiful grounds and lovely food are frequently mentioned positives. While some residents may need to move for specialized care, the overall experience is recommended by many.

"My parents both went to Amesbury Abbey in April 2020, right at the beginning of COVID. Unfortunately, my father died in November 2021, so he and my mother spent over a year and a half in the Abbey. In that time, I can genuinely say the level of care provided by the staff was perfect. My father always had good things to say about all the staff, including the day-to-day carers, nursing staff, cleaners and even the maintenance man. There really did seem to be a connection between the staff and my parents, that seemed so genuine. My mother has had to move on because this home does not specialise in the level of dementia care she requires, but she also seemed very happy whilst my father was alive.
In some ways I wish my father had come to the home earlier, so he could have enjoyed the activities/outings a bit more. The home is located in beautiful grounds, the food I saw looked and tasted lovely. I would recommend Amesbury Abbey to anyone."
