"We had such a good lunch at the Angel and Royal. We received a really warm welcome and very much enjoyed being in such an attractive and vibrant atmosphere. The food we had was delicious and very reasonably priced, considering its excellent quality. We had a minimal wait for our meals to arrive and there was a plentiful supply of ice cold water. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely return in the future."

"The rooms are fantastic here, really nice old building and the rooms reflect it perfectly. Modern furniture in each room but it’s kept the old building feel. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was really spacious too. Location is great too as Grantham does have a lot of bars and restaurants all within 5-10 minutes walk of the angel and royal. Can’t wait to come back! Thankyou"

"we popped in for Sunday lunch and even though we were near the end of the lunch session and without a booking they managed to squeeze us in.
we ordered 2 Sunday roasts, 1 beef 1 pork. both dinners were well stocked with parsnips, roasters, meat, carrots, broccoli and a massive Yorkshire pudding. we were also provided with a large side of cauliflower cheese and an extra amount, jug, of the delicious gravy. The meat, both the pork and beef were delicious moist and soft. the pork crackling was crunchy and the toffee apple sauce ideal for the dish. in short it was simply one of the nicest Sunday lunches I've had in a long time.
only one comment is that for me the roasters were fluffy/powdery centered when I prefer them more waxy.
well done to the staff because they were helpful, polite and attentive.
I had to try one of the puddings suspecting that it would also be as good. the sticky toffee pudding and it was well tasty and surprisingly light. the pouring sauce included bits of dates. thought it was a little pricey at £10 and I didn't need it after the dinner I'm glad I did as this is the quality I can use for a benchmark for the future.
