"I'm a member of Wigan council gyms but today Howe bridge wouldn't let me use their gym as a one off as I hadn't had a gym introduction. 15 years training in a gym and 10+ years of being a Wigan council gym member.. and still no. Ridiculous procedure and seemly no logic applied by centre staff.
They would however let me use the steam and sauna with no introduction... Work that one out.
Avoid this centre if you can, Leigh is much better."

It has a gymnasium, swimming pool, football and rugby grounds, tennis courts and cricket.
No joke it even has an adventure playground for children.
Massive free carpark spaces for coaches and buses and obviously cars.
Plus absolutely brilliant for dog 🐕 walking just as long as it's under control."
