Not to be rude, but what the hell is there to do in Bangor?
Seems like the place is just a few alright shops (that keep closing down) and a few good places for food and like...That's about it, aside from taking the dog for a walk down by the marina. All my friends live in Belfast, and just comment on how grim the place is. I certainly…

Is the night life good in Bangor?
I'm planning a bit of a golf trip for 6 lads from South of the border in the summer. The plan was to do Belfast but Bangor has some sensational golf courses and looks like a great town on the coast. We wouldn't be massive partiers but we'd love a nice pub. What's the…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Bangor Marina for its excellent facilities and friendly staff, highlighting it as a peaceful and relaxing spot. The convenient town-center location is a significant plus, offering easy access to amenities. While not a hub for intense nightlife, its pubs provide a welcoming atmosphere for a relaxed evening.
"Amazing marina, great facilities and staff. The pro shop out front has anything you’d need as well. Unfortunately I don’t think a 50” sail cat will fit into one of the bays? (Not at the end, don’t want damage from passerby’s). I’ll try though! Fav boat is the Queen of Ulster."

"We had only planned to stay one night in Bangor however our engine had other plans for us! At the end of it, we had been there a month but we were honestly glad it was Bangor we were stuck in. Facilities were great, you’re right in the town close to loads of useful / great places, and everyone we met was lovely. They even helped us find an engineer for our engine quickly which was great! Chandlery on site too."
