The Church of St Mary Magdalene, Battlefield ⛪️ This gorgeous church was built in 1406, following the Battle of Shrewsbury. Whilst it is still consecrated ground, it is usually closed to the public but today it was open so we had a mosey around! I love written about the Battle of Shrewsbury in one of my earlier posts, so check it out for information about who fought whom, where and why! #folkl...

"One of the loveliest churches I have been into for many years with breathtaking stained glass windows in nearly every window. But the best thing about it was the warmth and life of the church itself - not‘dead’ or musty like many churches of a similar age. It’s a real testament to the purpose of the Anglican Church generally and the purpose of this church as a testament to those who in battle. Wonderful."
