Yesterday we visited Benington Lordship. Wow. What a place. Did I get distracted by lowing cows, clucking chickens and the cutest fluffiest goslings? Yes. But I was genuinely blown away by the building. How surreal to think that just up the road there are Norman ruins (fully appreciate that Hertfordshire is riddled with Roman ruins, but Norman?) And a Neo Norman folly attached to a Georgian house....
