What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Big Burn Walk for its beautiful waterfalls and enchanting moss-covered cliffs, describing it as a delightful and spectacular natural escape. While some bridges may have closure signs, many find them passable. Parking can be limited, and occasional scrambles might be necessary due to path conditions.
"Lovely water falls throughout the walk. The main footbridge through from the big burns car park is closed (although someone has ripped the tape down it still has closed signs everywhere) however you can access the main waterfall from the car park right next to the waterfalls. I would still recommend doing the walk up to the closed bridge from the main car park as thereβs some stunning scenery along that route too."

"Absolutely lovely. A moss covered cliff with silver threads of water actually nicer than the fall itself. A splendid one arch stone railway bridge. It's all open - disregard a couple of keep off notices on one bridge. In the streeview of the bottom car park the entrance is hidden. It's to the right of the gate and before the bridge."

"Delightful easy walk along a river valley to 3 waterfalls. Just beautiful. Currently left bank closed (May 2024) so a bit of a scramble down to the alternative path."
