"A thoroughly enjoyable day out. There was a quite a queue for the underground tour, but it was well worth it.
Our guide, Mark, was brilliant. He really brought to life how it must have been to work down a coal mine, at the same time being funny and engaging.
At one point he got the group to turn their lights off. It was amazing just how dark it actually was. A complete absence of light!
Really great experience that I'd wholeheartedly recommend. It's not just for geeks..."

"Amazing experience!
Had visited well over 20 years ago as a kid and it was great to come back and see the mine again.
We didn’t tour where you go down the shaft and it was incredible, (you will need some degree of flexibility as there’s lots of ducking involved)
The rest of the museum is equally impressive, lots to see and do and loads of great historical items. Really enjoyed the visit and would definitely recommend."

Would definately recommend it others.
We visited on a the free weekend so it was busy with long queue times but even despite that all our group of 7 thought it was great."
