Visitors consistently praise the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway for its immaculately maintained engines and the dedication of its volunteer staff. The heritage steam train ride is a highlight, offering a delightful and nostalgic experience. While the journey is not extensive, the friendly atmosphere, on-site cafe, and shop add to the overall enjoyment.
"The journey itself is quite short, but the effort and enthusiasm put into the Halloween Specials was memorable for parents, children and (I reckon) the assorted cast of ghostly ghouls on the train. Engines at both ends, coffee and burger cans in the car park, and plenty of appropriate lighting. It must take a lot of people to make it what it is."
