"Excellent informative museum. Both the remains of the fort and the wall cannot fail to impress. The effort and skill that went to their creation is a,source of wonder. Cafe and shop."

"We took a detour on our way home from our holiday in lovely Scotland and we were glad we did. It was a bit tricky to find, but we made it!
The weather was wet and windy on and off, which made the right atmosphere to imagine what the Roman slaves and soldiers went through when they built and occupied the area. What a tough life they mush have had!
The displays inside the shop area are really aimed at children, but we only saw a couple - probably too soon in the summer. Most of the visitors were walkers.
We had an interesting and thought-provoking couple of hours at the fort."

"A classic #EnglishHeritage site.
Absolutely stunning views, a good place to rest if you are heading on Hadrian Wall route.
Nice cafe, big area and a very old oak tree, adding atmosphere and mood to the visit."
