"Although I didn't go into the house (hence the 4* rating), the gardens and grounds are extensive, and you could spend hours discovering them. Great woodland trails.
A large carpark brings you to the visitor reception where a cafe and shop are located - a beautiful building.
Within the grounds are two chapels and some spectacular Horse Chestnut trees."

"A very well managed estate and house. Welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff to answer your questions, from adult or child. Every room feels relaxed and homely rather than full of 'stuff'. There are stairs so not fully accessible. The property hosts exhibitions and displays to add to the value of your visit. If you are staying in a National Trust holiday cottage you get free Membership to local properties and discounts in their shops."

"Beautiful country park to walk around. I use a mobility scooter which coped with the paths but some were very steep so depending on you ability and I guess weather (we had hot sunny day) i think it would be different on a wet day. Amazing trees and well cared for. Just a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic and walk with your dog too."
