What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Burlish Top Nature Reserve for its natural beauty, historical significance, and suitability for dog walking and outdoor activities. The unique views of the safari park and railway are a consistent highlight. However, the lack of on-site facilities like restrooms and cafes is a noted drawback for some.
"This nature reserve is definitely worth a visit (especially if youβre local), distant travellers... maybe not.
Four things stand out straight away:
1. You can see the safari.
2. You can spot the Severn Valley Railway.
3. You can still glimpse parts of the old military base.
4. Finally you can find out where those radio masts you always see from Bewdley actually are!
There are some hills, but from the car park you can head up and then left towards Blackstone, or go right past the radio masts to a beautiful spot with a vista that takes in at least two of the above.
We love it here. The paths are great for your budding Evel Knievels to practice their two-wheeled skills, and there are plenty of points of interest for history buffs too.
Just note: there are no refreshments on-site, so bring your own β and please take your rubbish home with you."

"Really loved my short time here, i only came by while Geocaching. There are many historical sites in this old American world war 2 army base. Already planning a full day exploration. You can find more sites if you leave the main track and go off road."

"It's nice to take the dogs for a walk. From one of the viewpoints, you can see the back of the west Midlands safari park, see trains from the severn Valley railway, and also the basses of buildings from the Second World War, When it was an American hospital.
As you can see, beautiful poppy feilds in mid-May"
