Spot the Fallow Deer

Deer are often seen grazing; they're quite used to people. Keep a respectful distance! ๐ŸฆŒ

Check Cafe & Shop Hours

The park shop can be closed unexpectedly. Cafes are generally open but check times. โ˜•

Chasewater Country Park is one of my go-to spot for walks, runs, and soaking up the sun. I've logged countless hours and miles on its trails, from parkruns to solo adventures, and I never get tired of it. The fallow deer are so accustomed to visitors that they barely bat an eye, living happily among park-goers. Frankie had her first deer encounter here - the look on her face was priceless! . . . ...

Reviews Summary

Chasewater Country Park is widely praised as a lovely, peaceful spot for nature walks, wildlife spotting, and family outings. Visitors appreciate the scenic reservoir views, the chance to see fallow deer, and the budget-friendly nature of the park. Some minor issues include inconsistent shop opening times and occasional difficulties with parking payment systems.

"Beautiful walk, very accessible for push chairs, wheel chairs & some all terrain mobility scooters. There's a beautiful lake, a railway cafe half way through and deers closer than ive ever seen. There's lots of parking and a cafe on the carpark."

"It was nice and quiet, the old trians and the little shops inside the carriages was nice. And the amount of deer we saw was lovely, never been so close to deer before. A nice day out somewhere different , just wet grey English weather"

Daniel

"A great place to visit solo, or with friends and family, Chasewater Country Park is a must for outdoor lovers!

Iโ€™ve been a few times now - including as a group with church, a family trip with my parents, and, most recently a solo trip where I ran a 5k around the larger of the two lakes. In each instance, I had a great time!

Thereโ€™s plenty to do! Thereโ€™s a gift shop, a cafรฉ and a play-area for the kids. Not to mention an ice-cream parlour, a railway station and museum, and a variety of water sports available.

There are also different walks you can take around the lakes, across meadows and through woodland (marked by different coloured arrows) โ€“ and at only ยฃ3.50 for all-day parking, itโ€™s well worth it.

Highly recommended for the whole family! You wonโ€™t be disappointed :)"
