Watching “Pride and Prejudice” at Mr. Darcy’s house 🤍 A dream I didn’t even think was possible! When my friend @Ananya told me about it, I couldn’t believe it. I knew I had to experience it 🥹 Last year, my now husband proposed to me at Chatsworth, so to come back here a year later, married, to watch my favorite movie of all times with my friends by my side and my husband… oh it was the best fee...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Chatsworth Gardens for their immense beauty, scale, and historical significance. The variety of features, from grand waterworks to hidden grottos, ensures there's something to captivate everyone. While some minor issues with water features have been noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many returning year after year.

"I try and go to Chatsworth at least once a year and it never fails to impress. I have been in the house a couple of times but I always go through the gardens. They have a problem with the cascade at the moment and it appears that the water is soaking past all the stones and undermining the cascade foundation. They are going to have to remove it and replace it back again after they have reinstated the tunnel underneath which was for the train that carried coal to the long gone glasshouses. They had to shut the tunnel a few years ago for safety reasons. That was a disappointment as was the fountain which was just a shadow of its normal strength. However at sometime after 12.00 it started at full power so may be just because its a drought. Other than that it was at its most fantastic. We saw some beautiful sights including amazing butterfly's. We took our dog who spent most of her time walking in the little stream by the path. After a fabulous lunch we walked across the bridge and alongside the river, to end another brilliant day"

Bobby Dazzler

"Wonderful even in the rain, we went down the coal tunnel which was really fun, and we saw the cascade which was interesting and cool. The ground are very big and enjoyable. Lots to see."

Carol A

"The gardens are so beautiful and vast, with very impressive designs and water features. My favourite area was the steep sided valley, it was a gorgeous journey up, before arriving at the grotto! I didn't even go in the house, yet still didn't explore all of the gardens, that's how much there is to see! There are also some very cool greenhouses too."
