As myself, I’m sure loads of others had missed this waterfall on the Monsal trail as the trail is above this waterfall. If you manage to do the trail, I’d recommend taking the steep paths on the side of the bridge and check out this viaduct at the bottom. Be aware, they are pretty steep so wouldn’t recommend buggy’s or wheelchairs to go down so be very careful ☺️🥰 esp in wet conditions! #monsalt...

The area is praised for its accessibility for walking and cycling, with many enjoying the natural beauty of Monsal Dale and its waterfall. Some find the steep paths challenging, and parking can be busy on peak days.

"Great walk,we started at the monsal head hotel and took the route to the left down to the waterfall and up to the viaduct then up some steep rocky "steps" to cross the viaduct. We were looking for the chee dale stepping stones which were 4 miles from here through some chilly tunnels..lots of cyclists in here including small children..some great views of the old mill and valleys..8.5 miles from one end to the other.."

"What can I say, that was a surprise. Walking along the Monsal trail I had no idea this would come to pass. I was stunned and also saw cows wandering around, angry at my presence. If you are around Bakewell, it's a must. Can't wait to go back again."

ita40200

"Nice and easy one and at the end you walk in tunnel and can see a spectacular view of viaduct, you walk on closed railway track back then used to carry ppl in between derby to Manchester"
