Reviews Summary

Tatton Park is widely praised for its stunning grounds, diverse attractions including a historic mansion, beautiful gardens, and a working farm. Visitors appreciate the ample space for exploration and family-friendly activities. However, the significant parking fee, even for National Trust members, is a recurring point of contention.

"Great place, set in amazing grounds. Easy to park. There are Lakes, kids adventure park, a farm, mill, den building, and maze. The cafe has a good selection of food. We also found a little book shop. Great day out."

Natalie Gledhill

"This is one of the best places I have been. There is so much to see and do. For NT members the house and gardens are free and they are really worth the visit. The house is jusy incredible and takes about an hour to go around. The gardens are just as impressive. We will definitely be going back again. Parking is about £9 for the day regardless if you are a NT member or not as it is owned by the council."

"Tatton Park

Set in Cheshire, is a vast 1,000-acre estate with woodlands, lakes, and 50 acres of formal gardens, including Italian, Japanese, and walled kitchen designs. Adult entry costs range from £8–£10 for vehicle access, £10 for a single attraction, or £18 for the “Totally Tatton” ticket covering Mansion, Gardens, and Farm. The estate opens daily in high season (late March–October), while in low season it closes on Mondays and hours are shorter.

Food is a highlight: the Stables Restaurant serves hearty meals and children’s boxes, while the Gardener’s Cottage Tea Room offers light lunches and indulgent afternoon teas in a walled-garden setting. The Farm Shop sells estate-reared meats and seasonal produce for picnics or to take home.
