Reviews Summary

Tatton Park is widely praised for its stunning grounds, diverse attractions including a historic mansion, beautiful gardens, and a working farm. Visitors appreciate the ample space for exploration and family-friendly activities. However, the significant parking fee, even for National Trust members, is a recurring point of contention.

"Tatton Park offers a rich blend of history, nature, and family-friendly experiences. Set in 1,000 acres of stunning deer parkland, Tatton Park combines heritage with leisure. The grand Mansion reveals life upstairs and downstairs, while the Medieval Old Hall adds depth to its history. Visitors can enjoy 50 acres of award-winning gardens, picturesque lakeside walks, and rare breed animals at the working farm. The Stableyard provides a pleasant stop for food and shopping, though parking fees can feel steep. Overall, it’s an atmospheric destination perfect for families, history enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike."

"I had a beautiful morning exploring the gardens at Tatton Park. It’s free for RHS members. But be warned that you need to pay £10 to park the car regardless of whether you visit any of the attractions. There’s toilets in the courtyard alongside a garden shop, cafe, gift shop, and bookshop. The gardens were looking great as we venture into autumn. There’s some beautiful dahlias still flowering and creating a wonderful display. Plenty of ripening apples and pears! Must be a fantastic season this year!! Lots of areas to wander in peace. The grounds are serene and as I was there at 10, there was hardly a soul! So plenty of beautiful photo opportunities!!"

Elisa Winstanley

"Great for walks/views through the Japanese gardens are eye catching also. Make sure you book parking online prior and save £1 (usually £10 on the day) 😅"
