Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Manchester Art Gallery for its free admission and extensive collection spanning centuries. The welcoming atmosphere, helpful volunteers, and impressive interior design are frequently highlighted as major positives. Some find the closing times a bit early, suggesting a need to plan visits carefully to fully enjoy the experience.

"So much historic and cultural art pieces you can spend hours on end getting captivated/inspired. I would recommend arriving early enough to enjoy all the galleries. We arrived at 3pm and it wasn't enough time (closes at 5pm on Saturday) to enjoy the full gallery experience, luckily its free entry so we will likely return."

"Great place to visit when in Manchester. Brilliant art installations on display. On the second floor, to the rear, you will find the Lowry art display and several others. It looks as if they continue to add more installations in the gallery which means that repeat visits might still be mesmerising.
The gallery is well laid out and has two entrances. There is a cafe, shop and toilet facilities on site.
Free entry. Thank you Manchester."

"Excellent so much to see. Loved it but didnt love all the pictures. Just a few not keen on. Very educational however. Lots of information on the pictures and artists."
