"Super little tour around these privately owned caves. Date from about 8000yrs ago, but most of the mining of limestone (of which these caves are made) occurred in the 12th and 19th centuries i believe, and acted as an air raid shelter, as well as living space for some (for upto 150,000 people or more at its peak during World War 2). Good if you have a couple of hours at hand...interesting. Knowledgeable guides."

"Great guided tours. Entertaining, fun and friendly guides. Very interesting historical look at the area. Reasonably priced. Guided tours only, on the hour. You can't walk yourself around (you'd probably get lost in the dark). No photography allowed inside, so you'll need to settle for these two that I took of the beautiful autumn trees outside"
Scott Hamilton
"Fun experience exploring the caves in London! No pictures allowed in the caves so you'll be able to take back home only memories... if you don't want risk the tour fully booked you better but tickets in advance otherwise you'll have to wait for probably hour for the next tour."
