What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Ugbrooke House & Gardens for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and the historical insights gained from house tours. The cafe in The Orangery receives positive mentions for its delicious food and friendly staff. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with staff at the ticket hut, citing rudeness.
"A lovely few hours spent walking around the stunning lake and gardens. The terrain around the lake is uneven so not for anyone with mobility issues. The tea room is perfectly placed in the Orangery and lunch was delicious, as was the cake after our walk. There are guided tours of the house. Very peaceful walk."
Jude Price
"Having driven past the signs to Ugbrooke House for years it was great to take the opportunity to book a tour of the house and gardens. So much local history in both the house itself and its many owners. Although still privately owned it was as interesting and historical as any National Trust properties. Well worth a visit."

"Went for the first time today and never again! The rudest lady on the ticket shed/hut! After a few minutes decided to just go! When people haven’t been before and don’t know how things run maybe just be polite and guide them! Don’t speak and look at them like they are something you have scrapped off the bottom of your shoe! Shame as the place looked beautiful"
