"Great little escape close to civilisation. There's a variation of areas from wide, lit macadam paths, secluded woodland walks, open meadows, canal walks and lots in between. In general, it's quiet and you're likely not too see too many people whilst out and about.

There's lots of variety in vegetation - it isn't like Cannock Chase for example where most trees beech, pine or birch.

Seems safer than you might expect. I saw a makeshift campsite that had been abandoned with rubbish left so the area is is not without its idiots."

Chris

"Clayhanger Common is a beautiful place to get away from the noise and stress of town living. The reserve is full of natural beauty if you take time to stop and breathe it in.

A great place to walk your dog (as long as you pick up the poop).

Community spirit is high with lots of litter picks happening to keep the reserve litter free."
