What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Crewe Market Hall is praised for its diverse food offerings and vibrant atmosphere, with many visitors enjoying the variety of independent traders and regular events. However, some reviews mention concerns regarding management practices, including ventilation issues and music volume, as well as isolated incidents of food handling and pizza quality.
"The overall market hall is below average the rest of them, barely any atmosphere, just weird people wondering around, and nobody looked like they enjoy working there or working with people.
However what shocked me was the two girls from Olive’s Cypriotic Food, which clearly have no food handling safety training done or any clue about bacteria transmission. They had mcdonald delivered, they put the fries on the hot side counter where they were supposed to use the food provided by the store, ate fries while licking their fingers and then, started to do 2 wraps for order 17, we were sat on table 11, so we seen everything. They didn’t wash their hands in an hour or so we were watching, and started to assemble the wrap with no gloves again after licking their fingers, touched all the lettuce and the bits that went in the wrap. Absolutely outrageous to see this happening when there so many bacteria around, food safety issues and people being ill. You just cannot play something like this. They definitely don’t look like they took the job seriously either and eating in front of the customers their burgers. Very shameful to see this happening, and I do hope the store owner take this further. Having extremely long nails whilst handling food again is not a practice standard that is appropriate neither approved by the food hygiene. Also, in 2025 every food handler should have food allergens and handling training done, not only they contaminated the whole area with their mcdonald (while they were still serving people food) but then handle rubbish off tables and back again at doing wraps. Disappointed to say it’s not enough of how I felt about this poor behaviour. Please watch cctv if any available on site and take disciplinary action towards them."

"Over priced under cooked Pizza! Please go to Italia for a month to understand how a pizza is supposed to be cooked and tast.
Your dough and toppings are nearly correct and I was watching the others pizza's coming out of your oven and I said they are undercooking the Pizzas.
For you information I have also added a picture of how a Pizza should look 🇮🇹
The photos below is what you pay in Italy for food and vino 🇮🇹"

"Had a lovely day of trying out different cuisine at Crewe Market Hall.
Started with a Full English at Mels Kitchen...Hot and delicious 5 Stars. Went off to do some shopping and DIY pick ups/appointments.
Went back for a Cheese Grazing plate at Baileys 4 Stars...some of the cheese had gone a little bit dry but it was enough on a plate and the Camembert plate was delicious we were quite stuffed by this point. Wine was lovley.
Just to make it a full house we ordered dishes of chicken/ beef Noodles and rice for tomorrow night's tea at Noodle Gurus and omg it didn't disappoint so
5 Stars.
It's good to support local hard working artisan cookery."
