"Fab place to visit:
Restaurants, cafes, shops and historical buildings.
A previous visit was a speedy walk and shop as I arrived close to closing and viewed to return, which I have now done so.
A special mention to Paul's Health Food Shop with a huge range of goodies and the Craft Shop. Also the Restaurant Cafe closed to Paul's.
A great place to meet up with friend's, which I did
The old Train Station, Steam Trains on special occasions only, I understand they eventually want to open it full time
Accessibility: good.
Car Park: free across the road from the entrance.
Toilets:
Two locations on site."

"Lovely morning out. Lots to see. So many interesting units to visit. Such a shame the railway is no longer operating but hopefully funding will be available soon. Good parking and refreshment facilities and very easy to negotiate your way around. No entrance or parking fees"

"Enjoyed my visit to Elsecar Heritage Centre. There’s a good craft shop selling card making stuff, distress ink pads, copic markers etc, a sweet shop that weighs out sweets from the jar. A crystal shop, a health food shop where I purchased some local honey and was very friendly and I browsed the antiques shop which was interesting. There are places to eat and drink including a craft beer bar and there is of course the heritage centre itself. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxing afternoon. Seemed very dog friendly too as a bonus!"
