Service can also be inconsistent.
"Elveden Courtyard is a must place to visit when in the area, all the lovely items on display in the shop plus the restaurant / cafe for food and drinks, have to say the cappuccino was very good.
Would highly recommend."

"Nice gift shop. Cafe and farm shop could do a LOT better.
Having eaten here a few years ago and had a wonderful meal, we returned for breakfast. It has gone downhill rapidly.
I asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side (I don't like everything drowned in the sauce). However I need not have worried - there was so little sauce it hardly covered the bottom of the ramekin. The same was true of my husbands beans in his "big" breakfast which came with half a mushroom and half a tomato.
I asked for a second latte, and asked if it could be stronger, as the first had not tasted like coffee, just milk. I was told that the large coffees had the same amount of coffee as the small ones so tasted milkier as all they did was to put additional milk into the larger ones but they could make it stronger if I paid for an additional shot. I thought it was usual to include both in the price of a large! Cheese scone and small Baba Ganoush purchased in the farm shop - £7.00 - wow!
A very disappointing experience - not to be repeated......."

"The shop was nicely set out and there was a reasonable choice of goods, but I was really expecting more in the way of fresh local produce. I got the sense of a missed opportunity.
We had come off the main road specifically because we were hoping to buy flowers as a gift, unfortunately there were only silk flowers available.
Nevertheless there were some interesting foods to buy and our friends were pleased with the flowers we bought."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When it comes to dining, it's advisable to be cautious with the cafe. While a coffee and a treat might be fine, the mixed reviews on breakfast and lunch mean it might not be the most reliable option for a family meal. Consider packing snacks or planning your main meal elsewhere if you have picky eaters.
💰 Budget Travelers
It's best to be mindful of the cafe prices and the reported inconsistencies in food quality. Opting for a coffee and a pastry from the shop, or focusing your spending on the farm shop's unique produce, might be a more budget-friendly approach than a full meal at the cafe.
