We lost a giant. On Easter Sunday my family joined a nature walk and protest at Whitewebbs Park in Enfield, our local area. We gathered at the Whitewebbs Oak—a majestic tree estimated to be 450–500 years old that was controversially felled by @tobycarvery We observed a moment of silence, shared a poem, and voiced our opposition to Tottenham Hotspur’s plan to build football pitches on this beautifu...

"Whitewebbs Country Park Review: A Peaceful Escape into Nature
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Whitewebbs Country Park is a hidden gem for nature lovers, offering beautiful woodland trails, open green spaces, and a peaceful atmosphere. The park is perfect for long walks, jogging, or dog walking, with well-maintained paths that take you through stunning natural scenery.

A highlight of the park is the small streams and ponds, which add to its charm and attract local wildlife, making it a great spot for birdwatching. There’s also a lovely café nearby, providing a perfect place to stop for refreshments after a relaxing stroll.

While the park is generally well-kept, some paths can get muddy after rainfall, so appropriate footwear is recommended. Parking is available, though it can get busy on weekends.

Overall, Whitewebbs Country Park is a fantastic place for a quiet escape, whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or simply a breath of fresh air away from the city."

"What a lovely place to take a stroll with your dog, I’ve been coming here for years, only watch out for horse riders as there is a pony trail around whitewebbs but they are riding through out even though they are not allowed.
Also Tottenham Hotspur are bidding to win the park to destroy it and put plastic pitches, it truly is a lovely place but we may not have it forever.
If anyone wants to help protect this green space please visit save whitewebbs online.
It would be a real shame to lose a beautiful place like this.
It has over 150 acres of grasslands and woods."
