What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Epsom Playhouse is praised for its friendly atmosphere and diverse programming, offering everything from pantomimes to touring musicals. Visitors appreciate the convenient location and good stage views. However, some find the seating uncomfortable for long shows, and occasional issues with lift and upstairs toilet availability have been noted.
"Went to see Tenors Un Limited and Cobham Ladies Choir. Nice initiate venue with a nice small bar. Located next to the Ashley Centre car park which at the time of posting was £5 to park after 5:30pm"
Justin Fryer
"I paid this venue a visit to watch a good friend perform in a musical called 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie', and I must say that it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and were prepared to have a laugh with me, which is always a plus. I didn't realise how close the seats were to the stage as I had never been to the venue before watching the aforementioned play, but added to the atmosphere and made it easier for the crowd to engage with the performance. The bar is quite nice, too, even as someone who doesn't drink alcohol. With this said, it is fairly pricey. Overall, it was a wonderful night, and the venue is pretty cool. I highly recommend watching a play at Epsom Playhouse"

"Came here to watch my daughter in her annual dance show here with Danceshack. It's the first year she has performed here as they have previously used another theatre. I was impressed with the layout with the seats and it didn't seem to matter where you were sitting in the theatre you would get a good view of the stage. The seats could do with a bit of modernising as they seem quite old and very hard. They are not that comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. We were there for just under 3 hours. The theatre is conveniently placed next to the Ashley centre car park so not far to walk at all so that's a real positive. Over all a lovely theatre and we will definitely be back watching more shows in the future."
